In the memory of the founder of the Muthoot Group, Late M.George, the Muthoot Group took an initiative to launch the Muthoot M George Higher Education Scholarship. The scholarship has been initiated with a motive to assist students belonging to the weaker economic section of the society for their benefits in the academic field. The Muthoot Group’s commitment towards supporting students to get their financial burden off has contributed towards society betterments and also a sense of motivation to students to pursure their dream careers.

The main motive of this scholarship is to assist the economically weaker section of the society by providing them financial assistance for their children’s career. Students can now pursue higher education without any financial worries. Through this scholarship, talented and deserving students will be helped by supporting them. Through this initiative, the Muthoot Group aims to promote educational equality, encourage academic excellence and nurture future leaders who can contribute for the betterment of our society. Through this scholarship children who are often neglected due to society’s standards can now pursue their dream careers.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should secure atleast 90% or equivalent grading in the qualifying examination
- The family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakhs per annum
- The candidate should have qualified relevant entrance exam and obtained admission in a recognized educational institution.
- Ten students from each streams will be selected, the streams are- MBBS, B.Tech, BSc Nursing
- The applicant must the Indian Citizen
- The applicant must belong to the economically weaker section of the society.
- Students from Kerala, Benglaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai , Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata can apply
Financial Benefits
The financial benefits for this scholarship are as follows:
- The selected students will receive financial assistance to cover a portion of their tuition fees and academic expenses.
- Each selected student may receive up to Rs. 40,000 per year.
- The scholarship is renewable throughout the course
