Pre Matric Scholarship
The pre-metric Scholarship was introduced by the West Bengal State authorities for all the students who were currently studying in classes 1st to 10th. With the help of this initiative, the West Bengal State Government will significantly help the students and allow them to easily get a primary education. According to the information, a total of INR 11000 will be given to the selected students under the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be domiciled in West Bengal.
- Annual family income up to INR 2 lakh.
- Minimum marks required are 50% in the last examination (exempted for class-I)
Post Matric Scholarship
The post-metric scholarship is the scholarship introduced by the West Bengal State Government for all the students who have completed class 10th examination and want to pursue higher education. The scholarship will provide financial assistance of up to INR 16,500 to all the students and allow them to pursue any course without going through any kind of difficulty. All the students who are studying in classes 11th to PHD are eligible to avail the benefits of the scholarship.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship
The Merit Cum Means Scholarship was introduced by the West Bengal State Government for all students belonging to the minority community. All the students who are currently pursuing graduation and post-graduation programs are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Currently pursuing technical courses from an Institute that is affiliated to any board/university under the Govt. of West Bengal, can easily apply for the scholarship. All will receive financial assistance of INR 33,000 from the state government.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students must be domiciled in West Bengal.
- The students must have been admitted to a technical/ professional course.
- Must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/Graduation Examination.
- Annual Family Income up to INR 2.5 Lakh.
- Students residing in West Bengal but pursuing studies in the institutes outside West Bengal are not eligible (Except listed institutes like IIT, IIM, etc.)

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities
The Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship is given to meritorious minority students for pursuing studies from class XI to Post-graduation level in regular courses, including Diploma (Polytechnic), Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Ed., D.L.ED., M.Ed., etc. With the help of this is scholarship, the students can easily pursue their higher education and build a base for their future endeavours. The financial assistance that will be given to the selected students under the scholarship is INR 60,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal and have been pursuing education in a recognized institution situated in West Bengal.
- The student should have passed out in the current year from recognized institutions affiliated/accredited to the WBBSE/WBCHSE/WBBME/CBSE/ISC or a university situated in the state of West Bengal.
- Annual Family Income must be within INR 2.5 lakhs (Certificate to be issued by any State/Central Government Officer, not below the rank of Jt. B.D.O.)
- Minimum marks required in the last Examination – 60% for Higher Secondary to Graduation level, 53% for Post-graduation level &Honours subject at Graduation level, and 55% for Graduation Level in case of engineering students.
