The Government Of Odisha has launched the Videsh Siksha Bruti scheme for the SC and ST students who dream of pursuing postgraduate or PhD studies abroad. The scheme will be open to those who have family income below Rs12 lakhs and have secured a admission in the top 200 QS ranked foreign universities. This scholarship applications will be out twice a year and a total of 50 students will be selected across different fields. The financial assistance that a student will receive will be up to Rs. 25 lakhs per year.
About Videsh Siksha Bruti Scholarship 2025
Videsh Siksha Bruti Scheme is a novel move of the Odisha Government that seeks to assist the bright students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) in acquiring education in the leading universities of the world. Introduced as part of the 202526 academic year, the scheme provides significant financial aid to students who qualify to enrol in postgraduate or PhD courses in the Top 200 in the QS-ranking of global institutions. The scheme is aimed at eliminating financial barriers and helping deserving students to obtain high-quality education in order to increase their academic and career opportunities by offering scholarships of up to 25 lakh per year.

Objective Of Videsh Siksha Bruti Scholarship 2025
The main objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students belonging to the SC and ST communities. This will enable them to pursue postgraduate and PhD studies abroad. It will help the student to be academically motivated and have a chance to pursue higher education outside India. In the long run it will create equal opportunities for disadvantaged students by helping them financially.
