Through this scholarship, SBI seeks to empower students from class 9th to postgraduate to provide financial assistance to achieve their academic dreams. The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship is a special initiative launched with a vision for the betterment of the youth. This scholarship especially provide financial assistance to students coming from economically weaker section of the society for them to pursue their education without any financial burden. It encourages srudent to grow through their struggles and do wonders in the academic field by awarding them.
Objective
The main objective of this scholarship is to provide support to deserving students from economically weaker section of the society. They aim in providing quality education to the children and promote equal access to education for all. This scholarship aims at reducing drop outs and empower youth to achieve higher education and better career opportunities. In long term it’s vision is to enhance the talented students by providing them financial support so that they can pursue higher education without being stopped by any financial struggles.
It is important to note that a student not lacks any talent, it is just a motivation that a student lacks to achieve wonders in life. This scholarship scheme will support them in pursuing their dream course.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be the resident of india
- The applicant must be studying in class 9th to postgraduate level
- They must secure atleast 75% marks in their previous academic year.
- The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 3 lakhs for school students and Rs. 6 lakhs for students in undergraduate, postgraduate level.
- Applicant must not be enrolled in any other scholarships
Financial Benefits
- The scholarship provides students with financial aid every year to help them undertake their academic course.
- It depends on the level of education and the type of institution that the student is in.
- The approximate amounts of scholarship are as follows:
- Class 9-12 students: Up to Rs.15,000 per year
- Undergraduate students: Rs. 75,000 per year and less.
- Postgraduate students: Maximum Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
- Students enrolled in the leading Indian universities (IITs, IIMs, NIRF Top 300, etc.)
- The students studying abroad (categories chosen): To the limit of [?]20 lakh/year.
